Virginia Valor FC Opens the 2026 USL-Y Summer Season

 

Virginia Valor FC is excited to continue our long-standing participation in USL Youth for the 2026 summer season. Since the founding of Valor, our club has been an active member of both Super Y and USL Youth, and we are proud to provide our players with another competitive platform during the summer months.

USL-Y gives Valor players the opportunity to continue training and competing outside of the traditional fall and spring travel seasons. The program is designed to challenge players, reinforce strong training habits, and provide meaningful game opportunities against quality regional competition.

​

For the 2026 season, Virginia Valor FC is fielding boys’ and girls’ teams in a summer league environment that complements our year-round development model. Players are expected to bring focus, commitment, and a strong competitive mentality throughout the season.

What Does USL-Y Provide for Valor Players and Families?

 

Participation in USL-Y gives players access to a competitive summer environment that supports continued development and keeps players connected to the game during an important part of the year.

 

Players benefit from:

• Additional summer training and competition

• Meaningful game opportunities against strong regional opponents

• Continued connection to Valor coaches, standards, and expectations

• A professionally aligned league structure through the United Soccer League pathway

• A team environment that helps players stay sharp, confident, and engaged through the summer

 

Qualified teams may also have the opportunity to advance to the USL Youth Finals, a national championship event held annually in Florida each December. U10 age group teams are not eligible for Nationals.

LEAGUE DATES

 

Regular Season: Early June - Early August

National Finals: Mid-December

TRAINING DETAILS / LOCATIONS

 

USL-Y teams will train two times per week on Valor allocated field space.

​

Training locations may include:

Sully Highlands Park
EC Lawrence Park
Poplar Tree Park
SYA Sports Park
Centreville High School
Greenbriar Park
Arrowhead Park

​

GAMES

 

USL-Y teams will typically play 6-8 games during the summer season.

​

Games are usually played on weekends, although some mid-week games may be scheduled depending on league needs, field availability, and opponent scheduling.

​

Most home games will be played at Sully Highlands Park.

 

2026 USL-Y COACHING STAFF

 

Virginia Valor FC USL-Y teams are led by Valor staff coaches who help provide a consistent, competitive, and development-focused summer environment for our players.

​

Coaching assignments and team-specific communication will be shared directly with participating families.

​

JOINING A USL-Y ROSTER AFTER THE SEASON HAS BEGUN

 

Although the 2026 USL-Y season is already underway, select teams may still have limited roster availability.

​

REGISTRATION

 

Players invited to participate will complete registration through the Valor PlayMetrics system.

​

USL-Y Summer 2026 Cost: $550

 

Payment details will be provided through PlayMetrics for invited players.

All required USL-Y player forms must be completed before a player is eligible to participate in official league activities.
