VALOR COMPETITIVE WINTER FUTSAL

Valor Futsal Program

We highly encourage Valor player participation in our indoor futsal program, designed to enhance players' skills, including speed of play, first touch, field awareness, and overall ball movement—while ensuring everyone has fun! This is a new program being offered to Valor players, giving them the opportunity to challenge themselves in a skills-based, competitive setting over the winter.

 

Program Focus

The winter months are the perfect time to catch up and make adjustments based on coach evaluations. This program will give players the chance to work on key areas of their game while preparing for the upcoming season. Focus areas include:

Ball mastery and comfort in tight spaces

Tactical understanding and small-group play

1v1 attacking and defending situations

Creating and exploiting space

Building confidence in possession and decision-making

Shooting, finishing, and goal-scoring opportunities

Developing resilience, risk-taking, and self-confidence

Most importantly, growing as a complete player while having fun

Practice Schedule

Day: Sunday mornings
Times:

Session 1: 8:00–9:00 AM

Session 2: 9:00–10:00 AM

Session 3: 10:00–11:00 AM

Dates: January 4, 11, 18, 25, and February 1

 

Weekend Futsal Games

We will play three competitive games during February to give players the chance to apply what they’ve learned in a match setting.

Game Dates: February 8, 15, and 22

Teams wishing to compete in additional tournaments will incur extra costs.

Futsal Cup – December, Alexandria, VA

Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships – Mid-January, Richmond, VA

Atlantic Regional Championships – January, Manheim, PA

Futsal Championship – Late January, St. James, Springfield, VA

Northeast Regional Championships – February, Atlantic City, NJ

Nationals – July, Las Vegas (if teams qualify)

 

Program Cost

$375 per player
(Payment options: one-time fee or two installments)

 

Uniform & Equipment

Players will train and compete in their regular Valor game/training uniform kits.

Indoor flats (futsal or indoor shoes) are highly recommended for comfort and safety on the hard surface.
