U8 VALOR FUTURES

U8 Futures League is a strategic initiative designed to align early-stage player development, strengthen club connectivity, and build long-term brand loyalty across all member clubs.

This league will serve as a controlled developmental environment for U8 players, emphasizing:

• Technical development through small-sided formats

• Early exposure to the Fairfax Virginia Union identity

• Structured collaboration between member clubs

This initiative represents a foundational step in building a unified, high-performance ecosystem across all Union clubs.

 

Objectives

Primary Objectives

• Establish a consistent developmental framework at the U8 level

• Create early brand alignment across all member clubs

• Provide a high-quality, controlled playing environment

• Strengthen collaboration and communication between clubs

 

Long-Term Objectives

​

• Build a sustainable internal league model

• Increase player retention and loyalty within Union clubs

• Enhance player identification and tracking at early ages

• Position Fairfax Virginia Union as the premier developmental platform in the region

League Structure​

​

Format

• Game Model: 5v5 (4 field players + 1 goalkeeper)

• Field Size: Futsal-dimension fields

• Goals: Futsal-sized goals

• Match Duration: Two 25-minute halves

 

Scrimmage Festival Format

• 4v4 (no goalkeeper)

• 3-4 20-minute games in one day

The U8 Futures League is development-first, not results-driven.

• No standings or scores recorded during the season

• Collaboration over competition

• Building shared experiences and identity
